On 12th June 2025, we held an inception meeting with the Head of Nabkoi Forest, Africa Nature Solutions Trust, to initiate our tree planting project in alignment with the Kenyan government’s ambitious plan to plant 15 billion trees by 2032. During the meeting, we were shown the specific site within Nabkoi Forest where we will plant 2,000 exotic trees and another 1,000 trees to be planted at homesteads. This engagement marks a crucial step in our commitment to forest restoration and climate action.
The selected area has experienced degradation and requires urgent rehabilitation to restore its ecological balance. By working closely with the forest department, we aim to contribute meaningfully to national and global conservation goals. Our collaboration will support biodiversity recovery, enhance carbon sequestration, and strengthen the local ecosystem for the benefit of both nature and communities.
